“let go”
a simple action and ascent of my will.
my mind agrees with the wisdom
there is no other course!
yet my emotions, my heart, my soul, my spirit,
cling tight and struggle with 2 little words.
sometimes an altered life
continues to be snipped & sewn & reworked
and there is wondering
about who & where i will be
when all these alterations are complete.

  1. This is so beautiful!! I think the art of letting the hardest of all!

  2. I love your poem and all the sewing imagery. I come from a long line of sewing women and I find connection with this part of my history all the time. I love how the entire craft is a metaphor for life in so many intricate ways. Keep writing!
